Popular Musicians Announce Second Sep 24th Cline-Orbison-Denver-Diamond Concert
Stateline listeners have enjoyed standing-room-only concerts by Trinadora (Jannie Nelson and Ron Holm), Chip Messiner, and Denny Diamond performing, respectively, their Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, John Denver, and Neil Diamond programs. On Sunday September 24th at Rockford's Nordlof Theater, these extraordinary musicians are coming together to give the audience four 30-minute
concerts
. Nelson, Holm, Messiner, and Diamond will create a unique 'Four Icons' celebration
of favorite songs by Cline, Orbison, Denver, and Diamond (CODD).Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the music begins at 7:00 p.m. at
118 N Main St. (A 3:00 p.m. Four Icons show sold out without any formal advertising, and the musicians are offering the 7:00 p.m. show in response to popular demand.) Superb accompanists include Tim Austin, John Bishoff, Luke Svehla, Spenser Svehla, and Jim Vancko. Some streetside parking is available, as well as offstreet parking in the lot across Main Street from Nordlof and in the ramp at the northwest corner of State and Main. Nordlof sports stair-free, comfortable seating and perfect acoustics. Advanced tickets may be purchased for $15 at http://fouricons.brownpapertickets.com/ .
