YWCA Takes Their "Stand Against Racism"
ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- About 65 percent of Rockford's African-American population lives on the West Side of the river, that's why our local YWCA is taking action.
The group participated in a nationwide observance "Stand Against Racism". About 70 other YWCA associations joined in. The YWCA's racial justice coordinator also spoke as well as a woman who experienced racism first-hand. YWCA leaders say simply talking about racism won't make it go away...
