LOVES PARK, Ill. – Youths interested in defensive skills can learn from the professionals this month.  The Rockford RiverHawks' next free youth clinic at Wallbangers Academy is scheduled for Oct. 23. RiverHawks manager Rich Austin, hitting coach Pat O'Sullivan and Jr. RiverHawks 15U head coach Justin Small will run the clinic, which will cover fielding and defense. The RiverHawks and Wallbangers have clinics scheduled through May. Each clinic will be broken up into two groups based on age. Kids ages 7 through 12 will go from noon-1 p.m., and children 13 and older will go from 1-2 p.m. After October, there will be one clinic per month that covers all areas of baseball, including hitting, fielding and defense. The clinic dates are November 6, December 4, January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1 and May 6. Each date is a Sunday.
